Although I agree with you to a certain extent when you talk about cheap duplication/ replication, the main problem which I see on a daily basis is high unit costs for short run duplication. This is often expected due to the fact that the cost of preparing the artwork and setting up equipment etc never changes. This is often where the problem of in house vs out-sourcing occurs for businesses.
