What is DVD replication

DVD replication is the specialized process of developing copies of master DVDs in large quantities. The process of DVD replication is considered more expensive as compared to DVD duplication. Therefore, it is important to know your requirement before ensuring the quality of the copies to be delivered.
This process consists of two important processes, namely, glass mastering and molding. In glass mastering, "glass masters" that contain data are created with the help of master DVDs. These glass masters are then allowed to create molds. In injection molding process, these molds are placed in highly advanced and well featured injection machines to create replicas in the form of plastic discs. The discs thus formed are bonded together and coated with thin reflective aluminum layers. In the final stages of replication, the discs are protected with lacquer spun onto it and hardened using ultraviolet rays.
