CD and DVD Processing - an Overview

In CD ROM duplication, the standard procedure used is similar to that you perform on your personal computer while copying data onto optical discs. However, it is for the quantity that special duplicating hardware needs to be used for large scale duplication purposes. ‘Duplicators’ are used when you copy audio or video data from a CD master to bigger volumes of CDs. Generally, for CD ROM duplication, data is organised into sectors and frames. A sector contains 98 frames and a total of 2352 bytes of memory space. There are two types of mode set ups for CDs; if it is to duplicate any type of formatted data, CD set up uses should be Mode 2 Form 2 of Read- Only-Memory applications.

DVD duplication services use a different file system to carry out duplication of audio-visual or any other form of data onto blank discs. As the CD and DVDs follow different specifications due to the differences in the data types, a different file system to set up the DVD data is used. The most commonly used file format is Universal Disk Format (UDF). For information on both CD and DVD Duplication services, you can carry out a quick search on the internet. It houses detailed information on the respective service provider with comprehensive description on the list of services it offers. You can even ask for quotes for availing a particular service if you are satisfied with the company profile. Furthermore, you can ask for discount deals if your needs are large.
